The purpose of the standards-based curriculum is to provide the foundation for a focused and coherent curriculum that will provide all high school graduates in every part of the nation with the knowledge and skills necessary for college or work. You may notice some changes to instruction and testing. If students meet these new, rigorous high standards, they will have better career choices in their lives, and the nation will be more competitive in today's global economy.
